TERA Update Letter Previews 2013 Dungeon, Battleground and More

Dear Community,

We are fast approaching the end of December, and what an exciting year it’s been for TERA! Who could forget the rush during the beta tests and the sleepless nights through our launch? In late August, the arrival of the Argon Queen brought the Fraywind Canyon battleground, new skills, several instances, and the Nexus Traverse. We’ve also worked on various improvements based on our community’s feedback, such as enchanting and battleground tweaks, not to mention the fun we’ve had in the seasonal activities and community events. My personal favorites so far have been announcing the Halloween costume contest winners in Pora Elinu and playing hide-and-seek with you guys in Cutthroat Harbor. Of course, watching the Canyon Clash matches with everyone in the office holding their breath at each crucial moment was another highlight!

While all these community events have zoomed by, we are excited to shareTERA’s upcoming content for the next few months. First, we have the Crucible of Flame, which will offer better rewards based on the difficulty you select and your efficiency in clearing the dungeon. For our PvP fanatics, Champions’ Skyring, the new three-on-three battleground, will be coming. Consumable item use is not allowed in this elite battleground and the best players will go against each other using the Elo rating system.

In addition to the Crucible of Flame and Champion’s Skyring, two new reputation factions will vie for your attention, and there will be meaningful tweaks to existing systems—more specifically, crafting and gathering will be streamlined and simplified a bit by decreasing the amount and number of different ingredients needed to craft among other changes. Naturally, we’re also planning smaller changes such as class-related tweaks. TERA is a living MMO that continually improves, after all. We anticipate that you’ll be playing these new features and content early next year, and we will share more detailed information in the next few weeks as we finalize them.

Lastly, we’d like to thank our community for your feedback, passion and support for TERA this year. We look forward to sharing another exciting year with you! Happy holidays!

Buy a TERA Box, Get an Epic Mount

Want the Tawny Huntress mount, plus some other goodies? Purchase a physical retail TERA box (standard or collector’s edition) on or after December 12, enter the authorization code backward (more on that below), and you’ll get the following added to your account:

* Tawny Huntress mount (tradable)
* Two emeralds
* Two semi-enigmatic scrolls

Retailers with *physical TERA boxes include Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and GameStop. You can enter multiple codes (backward, of course!) to the same account, then trade the extra items with your friends or sell them at the trade broker.

*Note: Tawny Huntress pack is only available with the physical box (standard or collector's edition), so check with retailers to make sure you have the right package. We want you to get your loot!
Why enter the code backward? Let’s eavesdrop on Allemantheia HQ:

“So we distribute these ‘runic passwords’ to our elite soldiers. I get that,” Elleon said as he flipped through piles of neatly stacked parchment. “Here’s what I don’t get. Why does it have to be so…elaborate?”
Fraya tamped out her pipe on the edge of the desk, then raised an eyebrow. “Elaborate?”
Elleon picked up a parchment sheet. “Listen to this one…actually, look at it instead. How do you even pronounce this?”
Unable to keep the smirk from her lips, Fraya enunciated each rune in the password, then handed the sheet back to Elleon.
“It’s not really a matter of pronunciation, is it?” she said. “You’re worried that it’s too hard to remember.”
Elleon looked away. “Well, my mind is as sharp as my blades, but…other soldiers could have a hard time remembering it in the heat of battle.”
Fraya’s smirk became a grin. “Other soldiers. I see.” She picked up another parchment.
“There’s a good reason the password is elaborate, Elleon. We’re planning ahead.” She walked over to the globe, spinning it idly with an impossibly long finger. “Right now, we’re fighting the argons around the world. It might not look like it, but we’re winning.”
Fraya turned to face Elleon. “There will come a time when this war will change. A time when we need to make one great push to victory. A time when the entire Valkyon Federation will evolve.”
The silver circuitry that criss-crossed Fraya’s skin glowed. “I guess you know a thing or two about evolution,” Elleon said, almost too quiet to hear.
“The runic passwords are ordinary passwords right now, but there’s a secret within the secret. On the day when our armies must evolve into something greater, we will reverse the runes. There’s a potent thread of magic there, just waiting to be unleashed.” Fraya smiled. “Provided you and your cohorts can remember them, of course.”

How to earn wow gold by sell runs

Back in wotlk, I was completely broken and my only source of gold came from gathering professions (insanely boring imo). Before starting to use jc/ench as my main gold professions, I started to solo magtheridon and doomwalker, that meant 500g + BoE items every week.
In cata, raegwynn solo'd TK, what meant a lot of money everyweek (unless you were farming the mount). I've sold like 20 runs, 5k per normal run and 10k if the mount dropped, that's alot of money for 1 hour of effort every week. But that's part of the "good ol' times" now, becouse almost everyone can solo TK now.

Let's talk about the present, about MoP, what are the most profitable runs?
Well, [Raiding With Leashes] is the best friend of run sellers atm. Yes, pallys, warriors, hunters can solo it easly, but it's a tedious job for mages, priests, rogues, "add the class you want here". Fortunately, it's piece of cake for DK's.

Transmog runs are another good deal, you can solo TBC and ICC raids, and if you know the bosses mechanics it's pretty fast (excepting hard modes).
Note: always ask to the buyer if you can keep the recipes and patterns, some of them are really expensive, especially the sunwell patterns and the buyer generally only goes for the transmog gear. For more info check Raid Recipes - Supplemental Snatch List
Legendary runs:

Black Temple (warglaives)

Warriors and DK's can solo it, so your only buyers will be rogues. Full clear 2 hour max.

Sunwell (legendary bow) except kalecgos and maybe brutallus, the rest should be easy.

For wotlk you will need more gear so I'll update this when I get enough info about the mace and shadowmourne.

Tera gold farm spots

This week I will be giving you two spots! Yes that’s just to make up for the fact I’ve just been a little inactive. So without further ado I shall let you know these 2 awesome spots that have been recommended to me and they are two spots I believe are awesome for farming.

Between the Argon Wreckage and Scout Camp are some lovely Bears you can farm while at level 60. I’ve found that most players can quite easily take on 6 at a time without any problems and from killing these mobs you generally get 1-2.5g a kill. Not only do they drop a nice amount of gold they also drop quite a lot of Tier 11 or Tier 12 normal gear up to superior gear as well which can fetch a nice profit in the Brokerage. It doesn’t drop any rebirth gear but all that gear is perfect for selling or evening enchanting your own gear if need be at a high level. These bears also drop nearly every other high level item under the rainbow which is perfect if you need some runes, Arunic Panaceas or well… anything! They are a great general mob to grind on to earn gold and don’t hit too hard either making them one of my current favourite spots to farm.
Now for my second favourite spot which is just round the corner from Pathfinder Post in the Three Towers.

Now right in the middle of the map on the 2nd level (the middle level) of the Three Towers is the Raga Transmission Room. Here you can find a constant supply of mobs without having to move at all most of the time. The mobs respawn incredibly fast allowing you to kill them without moving much. These mobs do hit harder than the bears in the farm spot above however I do think that you can earn more gold here just because there are more mobs spawning and you don’t need to gather a large amount so quickly thanks to the spawn rate. I think this farm spot does work better for the melee DPS class however that is up to you guys to test it out. The drops are similar to the bears along with the gold drops just to add.

So there are your first 2 spots. I hope you find them incredibly enjoyable while you scour the world of Tera for riches by farming.
